Barnes VOR-TX Long Range Ammunition 6.5 PRC 127 Grain Polymer Tip Lead Free Box of 20
Barnes ammunition is manufactured to precise tolerances to ensure excellent accuracy and consistent velocities. VOR-TX LR is an extreme-distance load combining super-premium components that are assembled with a level of precision never before attained in factory ammunition. Each box includes ballistic charts that identify the G1 ballistic coefficient and address variables such as velocity, drop, energy and wind deflection – calculated at sea level and 5000 feet elevation. VOR-TX LR achieves match-grade accuracy and unmatched terminal performance on game at close and extreme distances delivers the quick, clean, ethical kills you’ve come to expect from Barnes. Distance can change all it wants. The terminal performance of VOR-TX LR never will. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer-primed, reloadable brass cases.
The Long-Range X Bullet (LRX) line is designed after the best-selling Tipped Triple-Shock X Bullet, the LRX bullet design increases Ballistic Coefficient values by increasing ogive and boat tail lengths to improve the bullets’ long-range ballistic performance. For the hunter who is confident in long-range hunting, the LRX will fill the niche of this new hunting craze. LRX bullets will continue to be manufactured with the proven 100-percent copper, lead-free bodies. The bullet’s polymer tip initiates expansion, causing the nose cavity to open instantly on contact doubling the bullet’s original diameter while creating four cutting petals that wreak extensive internal damage. Exceptional performance means clean, quick kill.

Caliber Dictionary
The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition. The 6.5 Precision Rifle Cartridge (PRC) is one of the newest cartridges from a major manufacturer, introduced by Hornady in 2017. Based on Hornady’s .375 Ruger/Ruger Compact Magnum unbelted case, the 6.5 PRC requires a .532-inch bolt face, same as standard belted magnums. With a 2.030-inch case it can be housed in short bolt actions, andcase length allows use of long-for-caliber 6.5mm bullets. Obviously it trades on the success of the 6.5mm Creedmoor, and also on the renewed interest in the ranging abilities of the 6.5mm (.264-inch) bullet diameter. Interestingly, ballistics are similar to the old .264 Win Mag introduced back in 1958 with a 140-grain bullet at almost 3000 fps It is thus faster than the Creedmoor and .260 Rem, but much slower than new super-fast 6.5mms like the 26 Nosler and 6.5-300 Weatherby Mag With its modern case design it is seems almost certain to find favor with the growing number of long-range shooters!Utilizing moderate powder charges that result in repeata — Craig Boddington
