Having a primary optic withthe capability to be quicklyattached and detached from a weapon system,while still maintaining “ontarget” repeatability, provides a degree oftactical flexibilityhighly valued in urban combat. The rugged EOTechholographic sights areexcellent choices for a “red dot” optic. Howeverup until now, addingsome type of quick detach mechanism meant mountingthe sight on someother mounting platform that raised the EOTech atleast another 1/2″above the bore. Besides adversely affecting cheekweld, mounting theEOTech in this manner no longer allowed the shooterto co-witness theEOTech sight with the back up iron sights of theweapon system.
