GGG-1431 Specter Viper Sling 585 with Mash Hook GG&G

The Viper Sling functions in the same way as the Specter MOUT Sling butwith a couple of big differences. First, the main portion of the webbingthat supports the weight of your weapon across your shoulder is 1.5″wide on the Viper Sling vs. 1.25″ on the MOUT sling. This extra widthreally helps on heavier weapons such as fully equipped M-4’s.Thesecond big difference is the addition of shock cording, housed intubular webbing, on each end of the sling. This shock cord allows you tosling up a little tighter, yet easily cross shoulder transition. Not tomention the benefits of shock absorption during aggressive movement. Thethird difference is the addition of a second emergency release buckleon the sling loop itself. This gives you the option to disconnect fromthe weapon and keep the sling on your body, or to disconnect the slingfrom your body, or both if you’re so inclined. As with the MOUTSling, the Viper Sling in intended to be used on a weapon with a sidereceiver sling mount like many of the GG&G sling attachments we carry. The body loop secures the sling to a single mounting point. The ViperSling features a side release buckle assembly that is intended to stayattached to the weapon at all times. The female portion of the siderelease buckle is permanently attached to the sling itself. With themale portion of the side release buckle attached to the weapon, and thefemale portion attached to the sling, the sling remains wrapped aroundthe operator’s body when the release buckle is disengaged. This is thekey feature of this design. If it becomes necessary to unhook the weaponfrom your body, such as when firing from an unconventional shootingposition outside of the capabilities of the sling or something assimple, yet hazardous, as mounting/dismounting a vehicle, there isn’t 3feet of webbing trailing from the weapon. This allows the operator amuch greater degree of versatility and safety.Another importantbenefit of this design is the ability to wear the sling at all times, without necessarily having the weapon attached. This allows operators toquickly and efficiently lock the weapon onto the sling when deployingon alerts, without having to take any extra time to sling up and adjust.Just grab and go, and lock in when you have the time to do so.Thisis also a very useful feature for competitive practical shooters. Whencoming onto, or off of, the firing line, the weapon can be quickly andsafely locked in, or disengaged without any wasted time or effort inadjusting the sling. Additionally, with spare buckle assemblies attachedto several different weapons, you’re guaranteed to have consistentsling fit with each weapon, since only one sling is involved. The ViperSling is constructed from the same 1.5″ and 1.25″ webbing that we usewith our CQB, CST and SOP slings. The Viper Sling is an ambidextrousdesign. Therefore, no left or right hand versions are required.
