This a very good reproduction of the early M16 flash hider. It is not suppose to have flats for tightening. Great hard to find part for assembling a earlier M16/AR15 reproduction gun. Heat treated steel and USA Made. Black Oxide finish.
A flash hider is a muzzle attachment for a firearm used to quickly disperse the burning gases emitted from the barrel so as to limit the amount of flash seen by the shooter. Not only do they serve a purpose, but they also give your AR a custom look. Recommended torque is 15-20 ft-lbs. Port with one open port on top and get recoil assist too!
