Reduce Friction, Sound and Felt Recoil for Smooth Functional Improvement! The Gen2 Drop-in captured-spring recoil system helps your ARfunction more smoothly and quieter without any permanent modifications.The carefully balanced, custom-ground buffer spring, combined with theJP LMOS buffer, greatly reduces friction and vibration – say goodbye tothe annoying “spoon over a cheese grater” noise of conventional springsand buffers. Fits buffer tubes for both M4-style collapsible stocks andalso, using the included spacer, the longer tubes for fixed riflestocks.
The ADDITIONAL COST OPTIONAL UPGRADE Auxiliary Spring Rate Kits for the JP SilentCaptured Spring allow custom tuning of the device to a given rifle.While the default spring offers the best performance for the widestrange of configurations, a simple disassembly and reassembly of theJPSCS with a slightly different spring rate can yield truly optimizedperformance, particularly for rifles without an adjustable gas block.

Includes spacer to allow for installation in both carbine-length andrifle-length buffer tubes. The standard weight buffer weighsapproximately 3.6 ounces. The buffer contains one Tungsten weight, andtwo steel weights.
Compatibility
TheJPSCS-AR15 will not function with Primary Weapon Systems (PWS) boltcarriers. The design of the carrier will prevent the rifle from cycling.

- AR-15 Silent Captured Spring Gen 2 w/Alt Spring Pack. Mfr Part: JPSCS2-15K JPSCS215K Includes partially assembled SCS unit, five alternative weight springsand spacer to allow for installation in both carbine-length andrifle-length buffer tubes.
- Tungsten Weight Gen 2 JPSCS2-HM-2 Can replace the standard steel components for an increase in the reciprocating mass of the system. Especially useful for eliminating the sympotoms of bolt bounce. In the SCS, replacing one steel with an additional Tungsten would function similarly to conventional H2 buffer (2 tungsten, 1 steel) or H3 (3 tungsten) buffer and spring for systems requiring that extra mass.
