Why are the marks different on this version compared to the older model (Gen1)?
Both generation sights were calibrated for 5.56 XM-855 62 Grain Penetrator SS109ammunition. The main difference between the Gen1 and Gen2 rear sightsare that the Gen2 has a more robust steel rotational drum with adifferent cam path than the Gen1. Both sights are calibrated for thesame distances and same ammunition, however due to the change in campaths, the distance marks are different and the Gen1 click equates toapproximately 1/2 MOA while the Gen2 click equates to approximately 3/4MOA.
