The Mossberg 500 Combo Field/Deer is a versatile pump-action shotgun chambered in 12 gauge with a 3″ chamber and a 5+1 capacity. This combo ships with two interchangeable barrels: a 28″ vent rib barrel with bead front sights for wingshooting and field use, and a 24″ fully rifled Slugster barrel for deer hunting with slugs. The receiver and barrels wear a blued metal finish, paired with a black synthetic dual-comb stock that accepts a drop at the comb for use with optics and an open sight picture with the bead.
The proven Mossberg 500 action uses dual extractors, twin action bars, and a steel-to-steel lockup for reliable feeding and long-term durability. A tang-mounted safety sits within easy thumb reach for right-hand operation. The 28″ vent rib barrel is supplied with Accu-Set choke tubes for pattern tuning, while the fully rifled Slugster barrel (no choke) comes paired with a Dead Ringer 2.5x20mm scope mounted to the receiver’s integral scope base for accurate slug placement at hunting ranges.
Overall length measures 48.5″ with the 28″ vent rib barrel installed and 44.5″ with the 24″ rifled Slugster barrel, and the shotgun tips the scales at approximately 7.25 lbs.
