Inspired by the Army’s DM-Rrifle, this Stainless Steel barrel features 12 large flutes to reduceweight and aid in cooling. With nearly a full pound of weight removedfrom the first 12 inches of the barrel, where coincidentally, themajority of heat is generated, the surface area is increased by awhopping 81%. Barrel weight is reduced to just 2 lbs. 9 oz. The barrelis produced with match grade blanks in 1:8 twist yielding light weightand excellent accuracy needed for many applications.
We wantedto build an AR15 barrel using the finest blank and mass produce them tobring them to market at the most competitive prices. Our UltraMatch™barrels start out as Shilen blanks and contoured to our specifications.We wanted the best balance between accuracy while keeping the weightdown as much as possible. It also features Shilen’s Ratchet Rifling™which allows for flatter trajectories and easier cleaning.
