SinterFire Special Duty ammunition is built around lead-free frangible projectiles designed to increase shooter safety and reduce environmental lead concerns. The Special Duty (SD) line features a frangible hollow point bullet engineered to deliver reliable, controlled terminal performance for personal protection scenarios.
This load is chambered in 9mm Luger and pushes a 100 grain lead-free frangible hollow point at a rated muzzle velocity of approximately 1,350 fps, producing around 405 ft lbs of muzzle energy. The frangible projectile construction is engineered to help reduce the risk of dangerous ricochet and to minimize over-penetration through interior walls, making the SD round especially well suited for home defense, close-quarters defensive use, and law enforcement duty applications. Each round is assembled with a brass case and a standard Boxer, non-corrosive primer, and the brass case is reloadable.
