By installing an adjustable gas block, the shooter can fine-tune how much gas is used to cycle the bolt assembly. This helps avoid that unnecessary wear, recoil, and the carbon build-up your rifle experiences during use.
Many shooters switch between suppressed and unsuppressed shooting which changes the back pressure and felt recoil to the shooter.
