At its core, the Shield EZ pairs a 3.67″ stainless steel barrel with a serrated stainless steel slide finished in low-glare black Armornite. The slide rides on a matte black polymer frame with an integrated Picatinny accessory rail for mounting lights or lasers. The textured black polymer grip is set at an 18-degree angle for natural pointability, and the top of the slide carries a clean 3-dot white sight picture for fast target acquisition.
This configuration adds an ambidextrous manual thumb safety alongside the standard grip safety, giving the shooter positive, two-handed control of the firing sequence. A tactile loaded chamber indicator confirms a round in the chamber by feel, and a reversible magazine release lets right- and left-handed users run the gun the way that suits them best. The crisp, light trigger with audible and tactile reset rounds out the control package.
The Shield EZ holds 8+1 rounds and ships with two 8-round M&P 380 Shield magazines. At 18.50 oz unloaded, it carries comfortably without punishing the hand during long sessions at the range.
