VLTOR CASV-EL-2 Extended Length Handguard AR15 Carbine Forearm
Likeall CASV systems, the CASV-EL-2 relies on “piggy-back” mountingto thetop of a “flat-top” M4 upper receiver. This system features aremovable lowerhandguard, which allows the access of an M203barrel-mounted grenade launcher.The smooth body construction allowsmultiple rail mounting points, adaptable toany mission needs. EachCASV kit features M-LOK on sides and bottom.
TheCASV-EL-2 is intended to be a “drop-on” rail systemfor a Carbine-Length gassystem that is equipped with a fixedsight-tower/gas block system, as commonlyfound on most 10.5”, 14.5”,and some 16” barrels.
Likeall CASVs, the CASV-EL relies on the use of theDelta Ring for a more securemounting point. Vltor does not recommendthat any CASV handguard be used without the standard Delta Ring assembly.
This CASV chassis is madeentirely of aluminum, withthe exception of the stainless steel mounting hardware.After mounted,the CASV-EL-2 adds less than 1lb (13.7 oz without MLOK railsections) to the firearm’s overallweight and features a QD slingswivel socket on the left and right sides. Installation note: Theinstallation ofthis handguard does not require any modifications to thefirearmexcept for the removal of the sight tower sling swivel (if your carbineis equipped with one).
