The .458 cartridge is battle tested with rave reviews of it’s stopping power effectiveness and is easily suppressed. With readily available reasonably priced cartridges, the 350gr .458 also beats other big bore AR cartridge performance soundly within 75 yards and has an effective range of 200 yards. Expect 1800 ft/lbs of energy from the .458 SOCOM as opposed to 1300 fl/lbs with typical 300BLK ammo.
