This is a 5.45×39 caliber side charge AR-15 upper with the 5.45×39 round offering flat shooting and low-cost surplus ammo, making it perfect for high-volume training or plinking.
The VTS Side Charging Poison Pill 5.45×39 has a MidLength gas system for a lighter recoil. The hand guard is the solid and durable Troy Alpha rail with rubber squid grips for better control. We have installed a Faxon Adjustable Gas block for tuning your firearm, especially if you install a suppressor. The side charge upper receiver is by Pro Fab and makes charging your weapon a breeze from the prone, or during misfires.
The 14.5″ Upper comes complete and ready to go onto any mil-spec AR 15 lower. The barrel has been treated with a salt Nitride process making them harder and more corrosive resistant than hard chrome. Perfect for the 5.45 ammo.
